Ovation seeks a dynamic and results-driven Account Executive to join their team, focusing on the Higher Education sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in higher education sales, with a keen interest in AI and startup environments.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets within the higher education sector
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and cold calling
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in higher education institutions
  • Utilize Salesforce to manage sales activities, track progress, and generate sales reports
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client needs are met and to drive customer satisfaction
  • Stay informed about industry trends, AI advancements, and competitive landscape to strategically position Ovation’s offerings
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and generate leads
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Several years of sales experience in the higher education sector 
  • Proven track record in new business development and achieving sales targets
  • Strong interest in AI technologies and their applications within education
  • Experience working in a startup environment is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Remote role with very limited travel required
