Encyclopaedia Britannica, an innovative publisher of digital and online educational resources, seeks a self-motivated Business to Government Sales Director to grow revenue and improve learning outcomes in the international education market.
The B2G Sales Director will be responsible for increasing sales and establishing new partnerships across EMEA and Asia, promoting and selling Britannica’s expansive portfolio of solutions and bespoke products.
Working closely with the Managing Director, the B2G Sales Director will be a strong contributing member of the International Curriculum Leadership Team and bring great insight into the international education and digital learning landscape. The ideal candidate will have proven experience driving new business growth with Ministries of Education (MoE) in emerging markets as well as having excellent cross-cultural communication and negotiation skills.
Major Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic sales planning to support the B2G business development growth plan
- Manage pivotal customer relationships and participate in closing opportunities
- Build and manage a strong pipeline for B2G contracts
- Source, travel to, and collaborate with key partners to accelerate contracts and build relationships
- Analyze and understand the local curriculum requirements and assist in conceptualizing and tailoring the company’s suite of products to meet requirements
- Work closely with global product and marketing leaders to shape the value creation approach and build the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy per key major market
- Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide critical insights to global product teams to facilitate continued innovation in student centered educational products
- Create and conduct proposal presentations and RFP responses that articulate the Britannica Education story
- Design, execute, and assist with complex sales presentations, proposals, and negotiations
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive history of achieving sales targets in the K12 curriculum market
- Recent success building sales relationships at government level including MoEs in EMEA and APAC
- Demonstrated insight and understanding of the digital learning landscape
- Proven contributor and collaborator across high performing leadership teams
