EvoText provides their education focused clients a powerful, configurable, classroom-ready, standards-focused K-12 publishing and delivery platform. They have developed award-winning digital instructional solutions for some of the largest educational publishers in the United States, and currently these products serve more than 8 million users.

EvoText is seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Business Development, Education to build and execute a sales growth plan for the Content2Classroom platform and services in North America.  This role will lead the prospecting, sales, and business development activities to secure and support new relationships with K-12 publishers. This important remote role reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop a sales strategy that delivers rapid and sustainable sales growth for EvoText with niche, small and mid-sized K-12 publishers in in the US market
  • Lead annual execution of prospecting, sales, and development activities to successfully land and expand new client partnerships
  • Provide cross functional input and support that leads to impactful brand awareness, lead generation, relationship building, and conference attendance
  • Accurately forecast and report on measurable outcomes of sales activities such as total closed deals, pipeline opportunity, win rate and recurring revenue
  • Deliver presentations to key decision makers at events and conferences to support sales activity
  • Collaborate internally with the executive, marketing, product management and customer service teams to land, service and grow client base
  • Develop and share professional and market knowledge
  • Consistently deliver the highest level of service and secure testimonials and referrals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant and successful experience selling B2B to edtech or educational publishing companies
  • Ability to develop and leverage large network of current and future customers
  • Track record of building and converting a completely new book of business
