Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Director of Marketing will drive brand, content, and product marketing strategy. They will lead the planning, development, implementation, and measurement of all marketing, creative and communication activities, both internal and external. This role will also play a critical role in enabling Sales and go-to-market growth plans for promoting product solutions, programs, and services.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on marketing innovator who has driven transformational marketing in both B2B and B2C. They should bring a depth of knowledge across all marketing disciplines and have a proven track record as a motivating and effective leader. This highly visible position sits on the Commercial/GTM leadership team and plays a critical role within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set the organization’s marketing strategy and oversee its implementation and measurement
  • Be the brand steward, fostering a culture of authenticity, integrity, mindfulness, and solution-based growth mindset
  • Provide hands-on leadership of a remote marketing team; hire, coach and motive the team for success and growth including KPI accountability
  • Develop strategy and tactics to Identify and penetrate new B2B and B2C markets
  • Create and execute marketing approach for new product launches
  • Work directly with key external partners on cross promoting of brands and/or applicable efforts that support the AVID mission
  • Ensure Marketing is provided with research and data to effectively develop insight-led activities, approaches, and assets to enable sales and position solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business development, sales, and product) to support go-to-market strategies for existing and new products, programs, and services
  • Effectively develop, manage, and track yearly marketing related investment budgets to maximize brand awareness and product sales
  • Partner with and manage external marketing resources to add capacity in brand management including design, content, and video development
  • Develop and manage marketing standard operating procedures development and implementation
  • Direct and support the planning and coordination of trade shows, applicable events, and other campaigns to strengthen and further brand awareness while supporting sales efforts
  • Contribute as an active member of a dynamic leadership team

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Proven leader who has developed a high-performance marketing team
  • Deep experience creating and executing a complex B2B and B2C marketing plan
  • Creative and innovative with a recognized ability to deliver transformation in marketing
  • Extensive knowledge of and track record with inbound and outbound marketing
  • Values-driven and brings excellence and integrity into everything they do
  • Deep understanding of the creative process and depth of knowledge across several marketing functions: visual design (print and digital); copy and content development; production; advertising; and brand management
  • Strong technical knowledge – proficiency with HubSpot and familiarity with Shopify; understanding of UX/UI; expertise in Adobe and Microsoft D365 tools
  • Motivated and adept at providing hands-on marketing asset direction and development
  • Highly effective remote manager and collaborator
