Intervene K12 – a comprehensive data-driven intervention program – is positioning itself to become a leader in global education. They seek a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales and Marketing to lead their expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and retention across B2B (schools, districts, state agencies, federal contracts) and B2C channels.
The Director of Sales and Marketing will build and manage a high-performing team, including Sales Account Executives, SDRs and growth marketing professionals, while also taking ownership of selling and closing a personal book of business.
Major Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to scale Intervene K-12’s tutoring interventions, assessments, and educational solutions, leveraging your expertise in government procurement processes, RFP submissions, grants, and vendor approvals
- Actively sell and close a personal book of business to drive revenue growth; build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in schools, districts, state education agencies, and government entities
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of sales and growth marketing professionals; provide mentorship, set clear goals, and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability
- Manage and scale SDR efforts to generate qualified leads and build a robust sales pipeline
- Oversee marketing campaigns targeting both B2B and B2C audiences, including digital advertising, content marketing, email outreach, and events
- Analyze sales, marketing, and operational data to track progress toward growth KPIs
- Develop and execute strategies to improve client retention rates and satisfaction levels
Preferred Qualifications
- Several years’ experience as a proven, hands-on sales leader
- Several years of sales experience in K-12 education
- Proven ability to scale a growing start-up organization
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Analytical mindset; ability to use data to drive decision-making
- Entrepreneurial and strategic
- Reside in a large urban area within the U.S.
Intervene K-12 is an EdTech startup company experiencing exponential growth. They provide assessments, analytics, and online instruction to assist students struggling in math, reading, and English Language (EL/ ESL). They improve student outcomes through deep analyses of student skill deficits, differentiated lessons, and live online small group personalized instruction either during the school day or after school.
