Encyclopaedia Britannica, a leading publisher of high-quality, digital solutions for the classroom, is seeking a passionate Account Executive to develop new business relationships with schools and districts throughout the Western region.

The Account Executive, Western Region will achieve revenue goals through prospecting, closing, and growing new district partnerships. The ideal candidate has 2 years of experience selling into K12 districts as an inside or outside sales executive and is highly motivated to grow business within their territory.

Major Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed new business goals by prospecting and creating new sales opportunities at K12 school districts within a defined territory
  • Build awareness of Britannica’s brand and products with schools and districts within a defined territory
  • Identify new sales opportunities and advance them in collaboration with the team
  • Develop relationships with key decision makers, finding opportunities to meet the needs of schools and districts with Britannica products
  • Conduct meetings with school site personnel to support supplemental campaigns
  • Provide customer and competitive feedback to Sales Leadership
  • Articulate the Britannica Education story to potential customers at state and citywide exhibits and other related functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ successful K12 sales experience selling EdTech, curriculum materials, supplemental products, etc.
  • Proven ability to independently prospect and secure net-new sales
  • Strong presentation skills, both virtually and in-person
  • Must live near a major airport within territory (CO, UT, MN, WY, ND, SD, ID, WA, OR)
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
