Zaner-Bloser, a high impact education solutions company under the Highlights for Children umbrella, is searching for a motivated, action-oriented National Sales Director to achieve and exceed the revenue goals for Superkids through continued development of their team and strategic territory planning.

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales and Professional Training, the National Sales Director, Superkids will be responsible for hiring, developing, and leading the sales team for this core program. The ideal candidate will have experience creating and executing national and localized sales strategies that focus on new business acquisition, a deep understanding of the educational publishing landscape and the ability to develop a world-class sales team by supporting every member in becoming their best selves.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the Superkids sales team to achieve and exceed revenue goals for the through the execution of strategic plans and new business acquisition
  • Identify educational market conditions to create and implement national and state sales strategies and tactics while ensuring team’s knowledge to optimize effective sales delivery
  • Lead the recruitment, objectives setting, coaching, and performance management of the sales team
  • Supervise the sales cycle for core reading and ensure pipeline accuracy including developing and modifying revenue forecasts based on CRM data
  • Cultivate a climate of collaboration across internal teams to build positive, engaging relationships with Operations, Marketing, Product, & Finance
  • Align and coordinate communication and strategy with Account Management, Professional Learning, & Supplemental teams
  • Establish and grow long term relationships in key accounts by understanding and meeting their needs
  • Oversee the development, customization, and delivery of customer focused sales presentations
  • Manage a consistent and effective process for implementing and managing pilot programs
  • Control a national budget for samples, customer events, conferences, regional marketing, travel and per diems for maximum effectiveness
  • Provide subject matter expertise for national and regionalized marketing content and assets
  • Uphold Zaner-Bloser’s mission and values by providing executive-level leadership in the ongoing evolution of the company’s culture and impact on education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success achieving revenue targets with Core Adoption K-12 solutions
  • Proven track record building, managing, and developing high performance sales teams
  • Ability to build and leverage professional networks, both externally and internally
  • Excellent relationship building skills with both external customers and internal partners
  • Ability to work outside the home including overnight travel
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
