The cloud-based BookNook solution is used in over 1,000 schools across 35 states to teach K-8 English Language Arts and K-5 Mathematics (coming soon).

To support their rapid expansion and multi-year growth plan, BookNook is seeking a talented Senior Director of Sales to be a key member of its sales leadership team. This role reports directly to and works closely with the Head of Partnerships to set, meet, and exceed aggressive sales targets. The ideal candidate will have built and developed high-performance education sales teams to secure and expand partnerships in large urban districts across the US.

Major Responsibilities

  • Create go-to-market strategies that achieve and exceed annual sales and impact targets
  • Hire, onboard and develop a team of Account Executives to build partnerships with top 250 districts in the US
  • Provide a high-performance team with ongoing coaching, problem-solving and mentoring
  • Deliver account strategy support while overseeing the development and successful execution of territory plans for each team member
  • Partner with marketing and customer success on lead generation strategies and upsell opportunities
  • Assist in the development of the next level of sales management as the organization grows
  • Ensure metrics/reporting are in place to drive sales performance and mastery of sales process
  • Manage and communicate sales forecast and pipeline progress using CRM
  • Maintain integrity in sales processes while upholding the BookNook mission

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive experience growing sales and relationships with key decision makers at large K-12 districts and winning multi-million-dollar contracts.
  • Demonstrated track record selling SaaS Education products (curriculum preferred)
  • Has built and led a sales team into a scaled, effective sales operation during rapid growth
  • Proven ability to identify/secure net-new business and retain/expand strategic relationships
  • Thrives in fast-paced, start-up environments based on High Standards and High Fives
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent market experience/knowledge
  • Interested in working in a mission-based company with a dual bottom line, both being financially successful and helping kids overcome educational obstacles
