A rapidly growing start-up, Wakelet is seeking a proven Vice President of Education Sales to build the US market and leverage the community of enthusiastic Wakelet users. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished team motivator with a deep understanding of the US K-12 sector and demonstrated track record of growing sales. They will build, lead, and develop the sales team and help Wakelet reach its ambitious revenue goals and long-term vision.

Major Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a sales strategy that delivers rapid and sustainable sales growth for Wakelet into K-12 school districts and school systems in the US market
  • Communicate the strategy across the sales function; monitor the strategy as the team executes, and focus the team on executing ambitious goals
  • Generate annual sales plan and provide quarterly updates, revisions, and modifications
  • Drive the planning, creation, and development of the new US sales team into a high-performing organization that consistently upholds the company’s brand image
  • Onboard, train and coach the team members with objective target setting, performance reviews and ongoing support to meet and exceed their individual sales goals
  • Accurately forecast and report on measurable outcomes of team activity such as total closed deals, pipeline opportunity, win rate and recurring revenue
  • Support sales team in closing deals, assisting with key accounts, and driving business development
  • Actively engage in Key account development and responsibility while the team is growing
  • Facilitate consistent communication between the US and UK teams

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven sales leadership track record selling complex solutions to the US K-12 market
  • Experience in EdTech SaaS and an understanding of technology use in schools
  • Demonstrated success hiring, training, and building a high performing team
  • Motivation to collaborate in a global team who always puts customers first
  • Appreciation of the value of community and brand advocates
  • The confidence and experience to build something new
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start up environment
  • Highly developed organization & planning skills
  • Lives in US
