  • K-12 Account Manager, Literacy – California

    Are you a confident, driven K-12 sales professional with a passion for literacy and a proven ability to hunt new business while building long-term relationships with school districts and educational organizations across Central California?

     

    American Reading Company (ARC) seeks an experienced K-12 Account Manager with literacy experience to add to their sales team. They’re looking for an individual with excellent prospecting, presentation and networking skills, deep knowledge of literacy instruction and curriculum, and strong account management ability.     Major Responsibilities

    • Achieve and exceed annual sales targets in Central California through the strategic acquisition of new school districts and education organizations, and the expansion of existing relationships
    • Establish new customers through the complete sales cycle of prospecting, cold calling and emailing, lead qualification, building relationships, understanding needs, presenting solutions, negotiating price, overcoming objections, closing, and servicing
    • Consistently grow account relationships by understanding customer objectives and advising them of new products/services to strategically meet their needs
    • Help schools/districts discover solutions to their ELA challenges

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Several years of K-12 sales experience required
    • Experience selling literacy solutions or K-12 literacy experience strongly preferred
    • Strong district-level contacts within territory, particularly among curriculum and ELA decision makers
    • Hunter with the ability to also provide exceptional account management within existing accounts
    • Team player, with the ability to work with autonomously and be self-motivated
    • Live in Central California with the ability to travel throughout the territory
    • OTE of approximately $150-300k, which includes competitive base salary and uncapped commission

  • Chief Revenue Officer

    Are you a strategic, growth-minded revenue executive ready to own the full revenue engine for a national preK-12 core curriculum publisher?

    Our client is a leading and well-established education organization providing a broad portfolio of instructional solutions and services to schools nationwide. They are committed to supporting educators, improving student outcomes, and helping school communities address evolving teaching and learning needs.

    Our client is seeking a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to own enterprise-wide revenue strategy, execution, and performance across sales, and in close partnership with marketing and customer success. This executive will report to the CEO and serve on the senior leadership team, responsible for setting and delivering the company’s revenue growth agenda, building a scalable go-to-market organization, and ensuring disciplined forecasting and pipeline health across the full customer lifecycle. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial, data-driven executive who brings deep K-12 core curriculum expertise, a track record of scaling national sales organizations, and the ability to align cross-functional teams around a unified revenue strategy.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Own and drive enterprise-wide revenue strategy, aligning sales, marketing, and customer success around shared goals and a coordinated go-to-market motion
    • Build, lead, and scale a national sales organization, including regional sales leaders and account executives, to consistently deliver against revenue targets
    • Set pipeline, forecasting, and pricing strategy; instill forecast discipline and CRM rigor across the revenue organization
    • Build and strengthen relationships with state-level influencers, district superintendents, and key education decision-makers at the highest levels
    • Partner with the CEO, CFO, and executive team to set annual revenue targets, resource allocation, and long-term growth strategy
    • Oversee customer success and renewal/expansion strategy to maximize lifetime value and reduce churn across a broad K-12 solutions portfolio
    • Coach and develop sales leadership on consultative selling, complex district procurement, solution positioning, and competitive differentiation
    • Use data and market insight to identify revenue risk, improve productivity, and guide investment across regions and product lines
    • Monitor company-wide revenue performance against goals, reporting regularly to the CEO and board

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Senior revenue leadership experience (CRO, EVP/SVP Sales, or equivalent) in K-12 core curriculum at a national scale
    • Proven track record scaling curriculum or instructional solutions sales across multiple regions, including California
    • Experience owning enterprise-wide revenue strategy, not just field execution – comfortable operating at both the board/executive level and in-market with district leaders
    • Genuine, credible understanding of the K-12 market and its challenges
    • Strong background in strategic planning, forecasting, pricing, and cross-functional go-to-market alignment (sales, marketing, customer success)
    • Experience building trusted relationships with senior district leaders, state officials, and internal executive stakeholders/board members
    • Executive presence with the ability to represent the company externally and internally at the highest levels
    • Remote executive role based in California with regular travel to customers, conferences, team meetings, and company events

  • Sales Executive, California

    Are you a driven, K-12 sales professional with a passion for shaping how districts deploy and manage devices for sustainable impact?

    CTL – the leader in ChromeOS solutions for K-12 school districts – seeks a highly strategic Sales Executive to lead sales of device lifecycle solutions into the education market across California. This role is designed for a consultative, enterprise-style seller who can manage long and complex sales cycles, build executive-level relationships, and leverage modern sales intelligence tools to uncover and convert opportunities.

    Major Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to expand CTL’s footprint in K-12 districts
    • Use GovSpend and other public sector procurement databases to identify opportunities, monitor bids, and align CTL solutions with district buying cycles in addition to RFP influence and response
    • Leverage AI sales tools for prospecting, data enrichment, and predictive analytics to improve targeting and shorten sales cycles
    • Build strong relationships with CIOs, IT directors, superintendents, and purchasing leaders at the district and state level
    • Guide customers through end-to-end solution selling, from discovery and needs analysis to ROI model, proposal, proof of concept, procurement path and implementation handoff
    • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, Online Customer Success (OCS Team), and product teams to deliver compelling solutions and ensure adoption
    • Maintain and grow a robust pipeline by balancing new business development with strategic account management
    • Represent CTL at regional education technology events, conferences, and tradeshows
    • Stay current on K-12 technology trends, state and federal funding programs (Title Funds, E-Rate, etc.), and competitor offerings
    • Operate in line with CTL values: Trusting actions with teammates and customers; Resourceful procurement strategies; Accountable results and handoffs; Innovative use of AI tools and small experiments for improvement; and Team-Oriented co-selling and building consensus across district stakeholders

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 3+ years of K-12 sales experience, ideally with hardware and related services
    • Proven success in solution selling and managing long-cycle, multi-stakeholder sales processes; hunter mindset
    • Background as a former school district CIO or IT Manager a strong plus
    • Experience covering multi-state territories, including 50% travel and virtual account management
    • Strong understanding of K-12 procurement processes, funding cycles, and decision-making hierarchies
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage senior-level district leaders
    • Self-starter with a growth mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
    • Live in California with ability to travel extensively throughout the territory
